When death comes looking for you, it will find you. The trailer for “Final Destination Bloodlines” has been released and is more savage than ever. The sixth instalment in the supernatural horror franchise is brought to you by Warner Bros. With a runtime of 109 minutes and 40 seconds, making history as the longest movie in the series. It is also the first film in the Final Destination franchise in fourteen years.
The trailer follows a college student who is plagued by a violent recurring nightmare. The Nightmare foretells of her family’s gruesome death that inevitably awaits them. Stefanie heads home in a bid to track down the one person who might be able to break the cycle and save her family from the grisly demise.
The trailer kicks off with a minute-long death scene, playing out in a chain reaction of elaborate, interconnected events. We meet the family’s grandmother, Iris, who reveals having had a premonition years ago, that set everything in motion. That night, she managed to save many lives that cheated death. Now, in the present, death is coming to claim what was never supposed to exist. And it ain’t pretty.
Desperate to protect her family in the present, Iris hands her granddaughter a book filled with details about past disasters. Also included in the book is the unforgettable logging truck catastrophe from Final Destination 2. It seems Iris inadvertently set death’s horrific spree in motion years ago, and revisiting the franchise’s past tragedies might be the only way to put an end to it. In the final moments of the trailer, the late Tony Todd, who passed away in November 2024, makes a posthumous appearance as William Bludworth. Bludworth ominously states, “Only by embracing death will it pass you by… good luck.”
Final Destination Bloodlines is directed by Adam Stein & Zach Lipovsky and stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, and Anna Lore, with Brec Bassinger.
