Star Wars “Skeleton Crew” Blasts Off on Disney+

With the holidays fast approaching, the force is strong following the arrival of the first trailer for Disney+’s new Star Wars series, “Skeleton Crew”, which from first impressions, promises to be a thrilling ride filled with action, humor, and a healthy dose of nostalgia for classic coming-of-age stories. The trailer introduces a group of kids who embark on an unexpected journey across the galaxy, desperately trying to find their way back home – perfect to keep your kids entertained  this holiday season.

Jude Law ( Yon-Rogg, From Captain Marvel) stars as Jod Na Nawood, a Force user who finds himself protecting this band of kid adventurers from a host of dangers, including space pirates eager to capture them. Curiosity always seems to get the better of the galactic adventurers, and through a series of events, they get lost in uncharted space, leading them to explore a massive city on another planet. The trailer showcases Law’s character rescuing the kids time and again, only to face a relentless barrage of new threats.

Alongside Jude Law, “Skeleton Crew” features a talented cast, including Kerry Condon, Nick Frost, Tunde Adebimpe, and Jaleel White. The young stars, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kryiana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, and Ryan Kiera Armstrong, bring the adventurous group of kids to life.

Created by Jon Watts, director of the MCU’s Spider-Man Films and produced alongside Star Wars veterans like Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson, “Skeleton Crew” promises to be a worthy addition to the Star Wars saga. Viewers will be transported to an unknown part of the Star Wars galaxy in an adventure which happens in parallel to the events of The Mandalorian and Ahsoka — several years after Return of the Jedi and way before the “First Order’s rise”.

The show promises loads of action packed scenes, plenty of explosions, light sabres, space battles and a whole lot of Jedi!

This holiday season, gather your young “Padawans” and prepare to jump to hyperspace as  “Skeleton Crew” is set to premiere on Disney+ on December 3rd with a double episode, so get ready to blast off on a galactic adventure with this unlikely band of heroes.

After 28 years in corporate life, I swapped spreadsheets for screenplays and now write movie reviews and celebrity articles for Geekhub. It’s been a year of creative freedom, storytelling, and loving what I do—plus the occasional dramatic reaction to plot twists. No more meetings, just movies—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
