Rocket League, the game that dared to ask, “What if cars played soccer?”, is about to kick off its 17th season – And this time, it’s not just about fancy new cars and explosive goals, it’s about bringing the Rocket League experience to more players, both online and in the real world.

Free Play for Everyone!

Starting November 28th, Rocket League is throwing open the doors to Online Free Play. That means you can jump into private matches with your friends without needing a premium subscription. It’s a move that’s sure to make the game even more accessible and inclusive, allowing everyone to experience the joy of rocket-powered car soccer.

From Digital to Physical: Rocket League Hits the Arcades

But that’s not all! Rocket League is also making a surprising leap into the world of physical arcades with Rocket League: Arcade. This cabinet version of the game, offers a simplified 2v2 mode that captures the core excitement of the original. It’s a nostalgic throwback to the golden age of arcades, while also introducing Rocket League to a whole new generation of gamers- although this is exclusive to the U.S for now.

New Music, New Rewards, and a New Season

As always, Season 17 brings a fresh Rocket Pass with unique rewards, including the sleek “Trailblazer” car. And for those who conquered the competitive ranks in Season 16, those rewards will be rolling out soon.

But the real cherry on top is the new theme song: Tokyo Machine’s “PLAY (VIP).” This high-energy track, released through Monstercat, will be free to claim in the shop as a Player Anthem. “After releasing PLAY in Rocket League in 2019, it’s super exciting to take things to the next level with a new version of the track as Season 17’s theme song,” says Tokyo Machine.

With Online Free Play and its arcade debut, Rocket League stays fresh and exciting for both competitive and casual players.
