Dating at any age presents us with challenges especially when seeking a soulmate, and sometimes we need divine inspiration to guide us. Well that is exactly the case for The Bridgerton viscountess Simone Ashley , who after romancing Mister Bridgerton is giving modern love a chance.

Prime video’s next rom-com is almost here with Simone Ashley and Hero Fiennes Tiffin who reunite in the trailer for Amazon MGM Studios’ “Picture This,” where Ashley’s character needs a date for her sister’s wedding.

The trailer portraysPia (Ashley) as a young struggling  photographer who is  battling unresolved feelings for the one that got away, receives the unexpected prediction from a guru that she will meet the love of her life in the next five dates. With her sister Sonal’s (Anoushka Chadha) wedding fast approaching, Pia faces pressure from her family to find a date. Sonal hatches a plan to set Pia up on a series of blind dates, with the lucky man becoming Pia’s wedding guest. Their mother, Laxmi (Sindhu Vee), does her no favours and adds to the pressure, constantly urging her daughters to find partners.

With the promise of romance looming on the horizon, and the blind dates in motion,  Pia’s ex, Charlie (Fiennes Tiffin), resurfaces and throws her life into chaos. Charlie reminds her of what she had romantically before they broke up and ventured into the world of photography. Pia’s best friend, Jay (Luke Fetherston), helps her unpack the reasons behind their breakup. She dismisses their relationship, claiming he was just “another suburban boy” while she considers herself a “smoking hot diva.”

Pia is presented with a host of options to choose from in finding that one true love. Ted Lasso alum Phil Dunster appears as one of her many suitors, a hippie  himbo who insists that the Earth is flat. And if that is not appealing enough, there’s always the charming Asim Chaudhry, who declares, “I’d literally stab a baby in the throat to have your bone structure.” Or Nikesh Patel a sweet young man with a peanut allergy.

But none of them seem to connect with her the way she does with Charlie. Pia finds herself forging and rekindling connections, as she begins to envision a new future for herself.

“I thought being independent meant being alone, but taking photos made me realise the kind of life I want to have,” she admits. The trailer showcases  moments that will have you in stitches, heart warming scenes and teases a dance showdown as the love story unfolds.

After 28 years in corporate life, I swapped spreadsheets for screenplays and now write movie reviews and celebrity articles for Geekhub. It’s been a year of creative freedom, storytelling, and loving what I do—plus the occasional dramatic reaction to plot twists. No more meetings, just movies—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
