In Your Dreams: Watch Sibling Magic and Nightmares Collide

Looking for something for the kiddos? Netflix has just unveiled the trailer for In Your Dreams that will release on November 14. The animation comes with equal parts of heart, humour, and mayhem. Watch dreamy landscapes unfold at warp speed. Expect to see a sassy stuffed giraffe who cracks jokes, zombie waffles serve brunch and the queen of nightmares prowls ominously. Get ready for some Jim Henson madness, promising a hilarious yet heartfelt journey through our subconscious playground. This is a rollercoaster of childhood imagination, emotional weight and laugh‑out‑loud absurdity, all wrapped up in a shimmering Netflix bow.

The movie follows siblings Stevie (12) and Elliot (8) as they discover an enchanted picture book. This not just any ordinary book, it’s a book that claims the Sandman can grant any wish. Their desire? A “perfect” family. So they dive headfirst into dreamland. Bouncing through sugar-coated wonderlands, dodging living zombie breakfast, confronting their worst fears, and running into Nightmara, the Nightmare Queen herself. If they can reach the Sandman and hold it together, maybe their wish will come true. Or maybe they’ll discover perfection lies elsewhere.

The trailer hints at deeper undertones about coping with disappointment, cherishing sibling bonds, and learning the hard truth that chasing perfect might lead to imperfectly amazing revelations.

    The voice cast features:

    • Stevie voiced by Jolie Hoang‑Rappaport, our Type‑A lead with big dreams and a bigger heart
    • Elliot voiced by Elias Janssen, the mischievous sidekick keeping things lively
    • Baloney Tony the wise‑cracking giraffe, voiced by Craig Robinson, amazingly steals every frame he’s in
    • The Sandman, voiced by Omid Djalili, is mysterious but oddly soothing
    • Nightmara, voiced by Gia Carides, seems like the dread‑queen we all feared at night
    • Dad voiced by Simu Liu, who even belts out an original tune
    • Mom voiced by Cristin Milioti, brings emotional resonance and musical chops
    • Plus voices by SungWon Cho, Zachary Noah Piser, and others populating dreamland’s delightful chaos

    Geek Verdict:

The first trailer for In Your Dreams dazzles with wild creativity, visual gags, and an emotional heart that promises more than just eye candy. With its superb voice cast and clever concept, prepare for a journey where your wildest dreams and fears come bursting to life in technicolor glory.

After 28 years in corporate life, I swapped spreadsheets for screenplays and now write movie reviews and celebrity articles for Geekhub. It’s been a year of creative freedom, storytelling, and loving what I do—plus the occasional dramatic reaction to plot twists. No more meetings, just movies—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
