Telkom VS Gaming Is Turning Comic Con Africa 2025 Into a Playground For All Gamers

Telkom VS Gaming is back at Comic Con Africa 2025 and this year, they’re doubling down on what they call a “game-changing fan experience.” If you’re into gaming, cosplay, or just curious about the culture, expect to be immersed, entertained, and included. Don’t be fooled, this isn’t just another corporate sponsor setup. It’s a full-blown universe, built For All Gamers and they actually mean that.

From 28 to 31 August, Telkom VS Gaming is taking over with a multi-zone experience backed by Samsung and Openserve. Whether you’re a ranked-up tournament grinder, a weekend FIFA player, or just here for the cosplay and chaos, this is your zone. No gatekeeping or elitist nonsense. Just gaming, in all its forms and glory and we’re all here for it.

What’s in the VS Gaming Universe?

Telkom’s setup will be split into five dedicated zones, each offering something completely different, but all linked by one idea: everyone deserves a place in the gaming world.

    Telkom VS Gaming Main Stage
This is where all the action will live, with live tournament finals, crowd challenges and unmatched energy. With appearances by the Next-Gen Squad — Mobile Mo, Vibey Val, and S-Tech, consider your hype crew sorted.

    EAFC Free-to-Play Zone
A daily 32-player knockout tournament with no sign-up fees or red tape. Show up, play hard, and win. It’s still competitive, but remains accessible like it should be.

    Telkom Smart Home Zone
This is a part interactive demo and part prize hunt. You will walk through a real-world smart home experience, complete mini challenges, and stand a chance to win exclusive prizes. With a trip to Tokyo as the top prize. Yesss!

    Samsung Mobile Arena
Mobile gamers get their own turf here. Play Tinbo Dash, chase leaderboard glory, and kick back in café-style seating. There’s also a Gemini AI Photobooth that turns you into a cosplay avatar, no costume needed. Samsung Galaxy A-series smartphones and wearables are also up for grabs.

    Openserve Sim Racing Rig
Speed junkies, this ones built for you. Take the wheel in a pro-grade sim racing setup, clock the fastest lap, and walk away with daily prizes or the R10,000 cash prize for the weekend’s top time.

The Return of the Next-Gen Squad

You’ve seen them online, but now they’re stepping into the real world. Mobile Mo, Vibey Val, and S-Tech are back as the faces of the For All Gamers movement. And fans can get in on the act.

Enter the Next-Gen Cosplay Competition by putting your own spin on one of the characters to win daily prizes, and the best-of-the-best gets crowned on the main stage.

    Powered by the Big Players

This isn’t just a cool activation, but a joint effort by Telkom, Samsung, and Openserve to push the limits of what a fan experience can be.

    • Samsung is bringing the AI heat with sleek mobile gear and next-gen tech.
    • Openserve ensures the racing rigs run at full tilt with speed that matters.
    • Telkom is the heartbeat behind the platform, making good on their promise that “Possible Begins Here,” especially in gaming.

    More Than a Moment

Telkom VS Gaming is already looking ahead to Comic Con Cape Town 2026, where they’re planning even bigger expansions into storytelling, education, and community-building.

But for now, it’s all about Comic Con JHB 2025. So  show up, plugg in, and prove that gaming isn’t just for the elite, but for the casuals, the spectators and everyone in between.

So if you’ve ever picked up a controller, joined a Discord, rocked a Pikachu hoodie, or just love the energy of gaming culture, Telkom VS Gaming has a space for you.

This isn’t just marketing speak. This is For All Gamers.
