Buckle up guys and doll’s, Netflix just released their wild Korean content for 2026. We’re not talking about a few shows sprinkled throughout the year. This is a massive lineup of everything from edge-of-your-seat thrillers to romances that’ll have you grinning at your screen. And to add to the mix are reality shows that actually feel worth watching. We’re talking romantic comedy with digital dating dreams, period epics soaked in political intrigue, ghost-slaying adventures, inventive reality highs, and horror that reframes youth culture. Netflix’s Korea slate works like a kaleidoscope of genres and emotions, because 2026 is about stories that shape you.

Romance That Makes Your Heart Race

2026 kicks off with tender and quirky love stories that feel both timeless and tuned to our swipe-right world. The roster of romantic adventures promise laughs and heart aches in equal measure, with enough romantic chaos to keep you busy.

Can This Love Be Translated? — January 16, 2026
Netflix’s first Korean romantic series of the year premiered, mixing global celebrity allure with the tender chaos of cross-cultural connection.

No Tail to Tell — January 16, 2026
Fantasy meets football and romance as a nine-tailed fox and a star athlete navigate love and legend.

    Boyfriend on Demand – Q1 2026 (expected Jan–Mar)

Imagine a world where love isn’t something you find, but rather something you subscribe to. BLACKPINK’s Jisoo stars as Mi-rae, a webtoon producer is done with dating as we know it and she tries out a virtual boyfriend app instead, who offers customisable romances. It’s a rom-com with a conceptual twist. It’s cute, it’s weird, and it somehow makes perfect sense in 2026.

Our Sticky Love — 2026 (TBD)

Two people who shouldn’t be together end up under the same roof. Sweet, awkward, and relentlessly human, it’s the kind of setup that proves love can bloom in the most inconvenient places.

Take Charge of My Heart — 2026 (TBD)
A rom-com with a literal ticking heart adds a quirky premise to the year’s feel’s-meter.

Sold Out On You — 2026 (TBD)
Insomnia meets rural resolve in a dreamy clash of worlds.

    Singles Inferno Season 5 — January 20, 2026
The reality dating sensation fuels even more fiery flirtation with its fifth season dropping this week.

Better Late Than Single Season 2 — 2026 (later release)
Dessert-sweet reality romance returns with more second chances.

    The Heavy Hitters

Be warned, Netflix isn’t just doing fluffy stuff. Some of these shows dig deeper into emotional complexity.

    Pavane (Film) — Q1 2026 (Jan–Mar)
A tender film about people marked by life’s judgments, who find beauty in one another. Think belated love, self-acceptance, and the poetry of everyday connection. It’s about seeing another human beyond the surface . The first quarter of the year has this poised to be a must-watch. t’s quiet and beautiful in that way that sneaks up on you

Notes from the Last Row — 2026 (TBD)
A professor becomes obsessively entwined with his prodigy. This unfolds in ways that blur mentorship into something dangerously intimate.

    The Scandal — Q3 2026 (Jul–Sep)

This sultry remixed Dangerous Liaisons-inspired tale enters the intrigue arena mid-year with historical glamour and danger. The Scandal reimagines Dangerous Liaisons in Korea’s Joseon dynasty, with Son Ye-jin and Ji Chang-wook playing games of love and power in a setting dripping with political tension.

    Mousetrap – 2026 (TBD)
A haunting thriller about a novelist and a ruthless loan shark chasing the figure who stole everything. Their identity, money and  peace. Turning desperation into a collision of fates. It’s dark, desperate, and totally gripping.

    Tantara — Q4 2026 (Oct–Dec)
Period drama grandeur about music industry dreams and survival lands in the final quarter.

Thrills That Grab You by the Pulse

If you like your TV with adrenaline spikes, Netflix’s action and mystery corner is stacked with plenty to sink your teeth into.

The Art of Sarah — February 13, 2026
A mystery thriller that bangs the door open on identity, wealth, and the dramatic gravity of secrets. Shin Hye-sun anchors this atmospheric mystery thriller about a woman living a forged life whose darkest secrets are uncovered through a chilling murder investigation.

    Bloodhounds (Season 2)
The hard-knock, high-stakes world of underground fighting returns harder and quicker. New enemies, bigger arenas, and no shortage of bruised hopes. Bloodhounds returns for season 2 with even more underground fighting drama.

Agents of Mystery (Season 2) and Devil’s Plan (Season 3)
Both return with expanded worlds, deeper puzzles, and the same nerve-jarring stakes that made them fan favourites.

    Laughs, Lightness and Comfort

Not everything is doom and dread. In fact, part of this slate is built to help you exhale. Undercover Miss Hong throws it back to ’90s office comedy vibes, while Husbands in Action and Mission: Cross 2 are pure fun. The kind of shows where you’re just along for the ride and the laughs.

    Undercover Miss Hong — January 17, 2026
Retro office vibes and ’90s laughs kicked off the year with nostalgic charm that balances office chaos with heartfelt laughs.

    Reality Variety Shows (2026 releases)
These include Ready or Not: Texas, Jae-seok’s B&B Rules!, Take a Hike!, Kian’s Bizarre B&B Season 2, and more, all slated at various points across 2026, bringing sunshine, goofy camaraderie, and human joy to the mix.

Husbands in Action and Mission: Cross 2
Goofy setups with charismatic chemistry and big laughs, reminding us Netflix’s Korean slate doesn’t forget the value of sheer fun.

Reality TV also gets its dose of joy: travel escapades, quirky B&B experiments, and adventure-filled hikes that turn everyday people into comedic heroes.

    Wonder, Weirdness, and World-Building

Netflix’s appetite for imagination shows up loud and clear. This is where Netflix really shows off.

    The WONDERfools – 2026 (TBD)
Superpowers meet suburban misfits in this delightfully off-kilter action-comedy. A super-powered mash of comedy and adventure

If Wishes Could Kill – 2026 (TBD)
Netflix’s first young-adult horror series turns wish granting into a chilling curse — a fresh take on teen fear.

The East Palace – 2026 (TBD)
A dark fantasy period tale about ghost hunters in a cursed palace. It’s eerie, gorgeous, and mythic in scale with Nam Joo-hyuk and Cho Seung-woo at the forefront.

    Dead-End Job – 2026 (TBD)
A man sinks into nightmarish part-time work to escape his debts — blending surreal dread with grounded social commentary.

    The Big Picture

Look, this is Netflix making a statement. They’re betting that Korean stories, whether romantic, terrifying, funny, or just plain weird, have something that connects with people everywhere. Netflix is betting big on the unpredictable, the emotional, the bold, and the globally resonant. In 2026, Korean stories won’t just be watched everywhere… they’ll be felt everywhere.

After 28 years in corporate life, I swapped spreadsheets for screenplays and now write movie reviews and celebrity articles for Geekhub. It’s been a year of creative freedom, storytelling, and loving what I do—plus the occasional dramatic reaction to plot twists. No more meetings, just movies—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
