    Comic Con Africa

Get ready to unleash your inner nerd, South Africa! Comic Con Africa is back, and it’s bigger, badder, and more geeky than ever. From tomorrow September 26th to Sunday 29th, the Johannesburg Expo Centre will be transformed into a pop culture playground, filled with everything from cosplay and gaming to celebrity sightings and epic artist alley.

    Celeb Spotting:

Think you can spot a superhero from a mile away? Well, you might just be right at Comic Con Africa! This year’s lineup is packed with Hollywood heavyweights, including Dan Fogler (from Fantastic Beasts) and Joe Manganiello (aka Flash Thompson’s bully in Spider-Man). Even The Incredible Hulk is due to make an appearance. But be warned, these celebs are only around for a limited time, so you’ll have to be quick if you want to snag a photo or autograph.

    Artist Alley: A Geek’s Dream

If you’re a fan of comic book art, you won’t want to miss Artist Alley. This haven for creatives features over 120 local and international artists, showcasing their unique styles and talents. Whether you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind piece or just want to chat with your favorite artists, Artist Alley is a must-visit.

    Gaming Galore:

Gamers, rejoice! Comic Con Africa has something for everyone. From intense esports tournaments to casual board game battles, there’s a gaming experience for every level of geek. And if you’re feeling extra competitive, you can even try your hand at free-to-play tournaments and win awesome prizes.

    Cosplay Craze:

Comic Con Africa wouldn’t be complete without a dazzling display of cosplay. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just dipping your toes into the world of costume play, there’s something for everyone. From casual cosplay competitions to the prestigious Comic Con Africa Championships of Cosplay, there are plenty of opportunities to show off your skills and win big.

    Beyond the Basics:

Comic Con Africa offers so much more than just celebrities, art, and gaming. You can also attend workshops and panels to learn from industry experts, discover new artists, and get inspired. And don’t forget about the food trucks and vendors offering delicious treats and merchandise.

    Tips for Attending:

    • Plan ahead: Check the schedule of events and plan your day accordingly.
    • Purchase tickets in advance: Avoid long lines and save money by buying tickets online.
    • Wear comfortable shoes: You’ll be doing a lot of walking, so make sure you’re prepared.
    • Bring a backpack: You’ll want to have a place to store your purchases and other essentials.
    • Stay hydrated: The South African sun can be intense, so make sure to drink plenty of water.

Tickets for Saturday 28th September are sold out already! So, what are you waiting for? Grab your tickets, gather your squad, and get ready for the ultimate geek extravaganza at Comic Con Africa!
