If the kids thought the Moana 1 musical which was released in 2016 by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ was epic, like I did. Brace yourself for  another brilliant experience because,  Moana 2 musical which is set to release in November and promises to exceed expectation.

For those obsessed with the original Moana soundtrack, the sequel does not involve Manuel Miranda as Miranda has passed the baton to Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear (The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical) who have found a lot of ways to utilise the original soundtrack, bringing a youthful and fresh energy to the world of Motunui that feels very much in line with the spirit of the first film and is guaranteed to be loved by our little folk who will be singing the Moana 2 soundtrack all through Christmas.

Moana’s unwavering resilient nature and her belief in herself carries through into the sequel, taking audiences on an expansive new voyage with Maui and a brand new crew of unlikely seafarers. 

When Moana receives an unexpected call from her ancestors, she journeys across the unpredictable Oceania seas and stumbles into a quest unlike anything she’s faced before. Auli’i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson are expected to reprise their roles as Moana and Maui, and the movie is expected to combine music, laughs, and heartwarming moments, alongside possible mild peril and scares.
