    New BMW M3

The buzz around the new BMW M3 Sedan is heating up, with pricing now available just in time for its South African launch, slated for later this year. This sporty icon is about to make waves as it becomes the first M3 available in both Sedan and Touring (Estate) body styles—a first for our market, and it’s sure to turn heads on the N1!

The Touring model will set you back R2,218,506, while the Sedan will be a touch more affordable at R2,198,002 when it rolls onto our roads.

    What to Look Forward To

Under the hood, the M3 Sedan packs a punch with its beefy 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol engine, now cranked up to deliver an extra 15kW. That means you’re looking at a staggering 390kW and 650Nm of torque, allowing this beauty to blitz from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds—perfect for those early morning drives to the office or a quick getaway to the Cape Winelands!

And here’s the cherry on top: the local models come standard with the M Driver’s package, which raises the top speed from 250 km/h to an exhilarating 290 km/h. It’s like having your own piece of the Fast and Furious right here in Mzansi! Plus, the M Steptronic eight-speed automatic gearbox and M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, with its active differential, ensure you can tackle both city streets and dirt roads with ease.

    Striking Design

When it comes to looks, this M3 means business. It features newly designed Matrix LED headlights and those snazzy arrowhead-shaped daytime running lights that scream style. The kidney grille has a fresh M-specific design with horizontal double bars, and it’s complemented by sleek gloss black side skirts and flared wheel arches—perfect for making an entrance at any local car meet-up or special event.

The Sedan’s carbon fibre roof is a standout feature, not available on the Touring, and adds a sporty edge. Inside, you’ll be greeted by a three-spoke M leather steering wheel with a bold red 12 o’clock marker and paddle shifters. The cabin is a blend of luxury and sportiness, decked out with carbon fibre inserts and Merino leather sports seats that come heated and electronically adjustable, with various colour options to match your vibe.

    High-Tech and Safety Features

The dashboard boasts a dual curved display featuring a 14.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, ensuring you stay connected even while you’re tearing up the asphalt. You’ll enjoy automatic climate control, vibrant nine-colour ambient lighting, and a top-notch Harmon Kardon sound system—perfect for blasting your favourite tunes while cruising along the Garden Route.

On the safety front, the M3 comes loaded with features like front and rear park distance control, adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go, front collision warning, lane departure warning with steering assistance, and Park Assist Plus—ideal for navigating those tight parking spots.

    Customize to Your Heart’s Content

You can also personalize your M3 with a range of options, from a heated Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel to ventilated seats and a heads-up display. The M Carbon Package adds wider front air intakes and carbon fibre mirror caps, while the M Race Track Package offers lightweight M Carbon ceramic brakes and bucket seats that trim down 25kg—because who doesn’t want a lighter ride?

And let’s not forget about the M Performance Parts Package, featuring forged alloy rims and snazzy branded floor mats to show off your M pride!

Every BMW comes with a solid 2-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty and a 5-year/100,000 km maintenance plan—because peace of mind is key when you’re behind the wheel of such an exhilarating machine.

The new BMW M3 Sedan and Touring are hitting our dealerships between October and December 2024. Whether you’re zipping through the streets of Joburg or cruising down to the coast, this M3 promises to deliver some serious thrills along the way!
