“Thunderbolts,” the highly anticipated film that was supposed to wrap up Marvel’s Phase 5, has hit a snag. Its release date has been pushed back to May 2nd, 2025, almost a full year later than its original July 2024 target. A Team of Familiar Faces
The “Thunderbolts” cast is a who’s who of MCU misfits, led by Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova (from “Black Widow”) and Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed that the asterisk has a meaning, but he’s keeping it under wraps for now. Fans are already speculating about its significance, with theories ranging from a connection to the comic book storyline to a hint at a surprising twist in the film.
