Tom Hardy is poised to make his comeback on our screens in what looks to be another high-octane thriller. The upcoming film “Havoc” has already captured the interest of global audiences following the release of an enticing teaser on Netflix’s official social media channels ahead of its 25th April launch, igniting a frenzy among fans.

Hardy portrays Walker, a tough detective navigating a city on the brink of chaos. When a drug deal goes south, he navigates a perilous criminal underworld. Walker becomes the target of various factions, including a ruthless crime syndicate, a corrupt politician, and even his own colleagues.

His only chance for survival lies in rescuing the politician’s estranged son, whose connection to the deal uncovers a more profound conspiracy lurking beneath the surface. With time running out, Walker must fight to stay alive while also confronting the ghosts of his past, making “Havoc” as much a psychological thriller as it is an explosive action spectacle.

Not satisfied with merely directing the film, Evans also wrote the script for “Havoc,” marking his first movie in seven years. Known for his penchant for intense violence, Evans has previously directed iconic films such as “Merantau,” “The Raid,” and “The Raid 2,” as well as the 2018 action-packed folk horror film “Apostle”. The trailer showcases intense action sequences and gritty visuals, highlighting Evans’ signature style. Hardy’s portrayal of a determined detective adds depth to the narrative, promising a thrilling experience for fans of the genre.

The Havoc team includes the likes of Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker, Jessie Mei Li , Luis Guzmán, Justin Cornwell , Xelia Mendes-Jones , Timothy Olyphant , Quelin Sepulveda, Jim Caesar, Michelle Waterson, Yeo Yann Yann and Sunny Pang.

“Havoc” is expected to be a significant addition to Netflix’s action film lineup, potentially fulfilling the platform’s long-standing desire for a high-quality action movie.
