Get your calendars out and your cosplay ready – Comic Con Africa 2025 is set to take Johannesburg by storm from 28–31 August at the Johannesburg Expo Centre. This isn’t just an event; it’s four days of pure pop culture immersion.

We’re talking gaming arenas buzzing with e-sports battles, cosplay so good you’ll do a double take, Artist Alley brimming with local and international talent, and Otaku Town for the anime and manga faithful. Add in tabletop showdowns, a marketplace loaded with collectibles, and the KidsCon zone for the little heroes, and you’ve got a weekend that’s basically Comic Con perfection.

It’s the place where the worlds of comics, gaming, film, TV, and fandoms collide—loud, colourful, and unapologetically nerdy.

But Here’s the Best Part: You Could Be There for Free

Geekhub has teamed up with Comic Con Africa to give away five double tickets to our readers. Yes, that means you and a friend could be walking through those convention doors without spending a cent.

    How to Enter:

    1. Scroll to the bottom of this article.
    2. Hit the Subscribe to Geekhub button for the Geekhub WhatsApp Channel.
    3. Share to your socials and tag @geekhub
    4. Done. You’re in the draw.

We’ll randomly select winners from our WhatsApp Channel followers. If your name pops up, you get two tickets—one for you, one for your plus-one.

Why You Don’t Want to Miss It

    • Free tickets. Enough said.
    • Four days of pop culture overload.
    • Panels, meet-and-greets, and experiences you won’t find anywhere else.
    • The bragging rights that you scored your entry from Geekhub.
