Jimmy Fallon to Host Google’s Pixel 10 Event: Tech Meets Late-Night Energy

Google has decided to put a twist on its biggest event of the year. The company confirmed that Jimmy Fallon will host the Made by Google 2025 keynote in New York City on August 20 at 1 PM ET, that’s 7 PM South African time. Fallon broke the news himself in an Instagram teaser, telling fans: “I’m Jimmy Fallon, your host for the star-studded Made by Google event on August 20th at 1 PM Eastern Time.”

    Not Just Another Keynote

This isn’t your typical product launch with engineers and executives running through slides. Bringing Fallon on board makes it clear that Google wants to grab mainstream attention. It’s about more than hardware specs. Fallon’s schedule worked out perfectly, since The Tonight Show is on a production break, which means he’s free to bring some late-night energy to the tech stage.

And Fallon won’t be the only famous face. Rumors are swirling about appearances from Stephen Curry, Lando Norris, and even the Jonas Brothers. It looks like Google is treating the Pixel 10 reveal as both a product launch and a cultural moment.

    What We’ll See on Stage

Of course, the spotlight will still be on the tech. Here’s what’s expected to make headlines:

    • Pixel 10 Lineup: A full family of devices including the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
    • Tensor G5 Chip: All models should ship with Google’s latest in-house processor.
    • AI-Driven Photography: Features like advanced group shots, more powerful zoom tools, and other Gemini-powered tricks designed to push Pixel’s camera game even further.
    • Hardware Upgrades: Qi2 magnetic charging, water resistance for the foldable, and a telephoto lens even on the base Pixel 10.
    • Wearables and Audio: A new Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a, with fresh colors and improved sound.

Then there are the “secret products” Fallon teased in his announcement. Google has a habit of sneaking in surprises, and this could mean anything from new smart glasses to fresh AI accessories.

    Why It Matters

This launch is more than just another refresh cycle. It marks ten years of the Pixel brand, which makes it a milestone moment for Google. By blending celebrity culture with technology, Google is aiming to make Pixel part of the broader conversation, not just a device for the tech faithful.
