Christopher Judge Comic Con Africa 2026

South African fans of God of War and Stargate SG-1 have a major reason to mark their calendars. Christopher Judge, the actor behind Kratos and the iconic Teal’c, has been confirmed as one of the headline guests at Comic Con Africa 2026.

Judge will appear at the festival from 25 to 27 September 2026, giving fans the opportunity to meet one of gaming and science fiction’s most recognisable stars.

For gamers, Judge’s portrayal of Kratos has become legendary. He took on the role in 2018’s God of War, helping redefine the character from an unstoppable force of rage into one of gaming’s most emotionally layered protagonists. The performance earned widespread acclaim and contributed to the game sweeping multiple Game of the Year awards.

He returned as Kratos in God of War Ragnarök in 2022, delivering another critically acclaimed performance that earned him Best Performance at The Game Awards 2022 and Best Performer in a Leading Role at the 2023 BAFTA Games Awards.

While a new generation knows him as the Ghost of Sparta, Judge has been a familiar face on television for decades. He is perhaps best known for portraying Teal’c in Stargate SG-1, where he appeared in more episodes than any other cast member. His career also includes appearances in MacGyver, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and Sirens, while animation fans may recognise his voice as Magneto in X-Men: Evolution.

Born Douglas Christopher Judge in Los Angeles, he attended the University of Oregon on a football scholarship before pursuing acting full-time. More than three decades later, he remains one of the entertainment industry’s most respected performers across television, gaming, and voice acting.

    What fans can expect

Comic Con Africa attendees will have several opportunities to see Judge during the first three days of the event.

He will participate in live panel discussions where he’ll reflect on his career, discuss the craft of performance capture and voice acting, share behind-the-scenes stories, and answer questions from fans.

Visitors will also be able to purchase tickets for autograph sessions and professional photo opportunities, offering the chance to meet Judge in person and take home a signed collectible or commemorative photograph.

A major draw for Comic Con Africa 2026

Christopher Judge’s appearance is another significant addition to Comic Con Africa’s growing reputation for attracting world-class talent from gaming, television, and pop culture.

Whether you’ve followed Teal’c’s adventures through the Stargate or spent countless hours battling Norse gods alongside Kratos, Judge’s visit offers South African fans a rare opportunity to meet one of the most influential performers in modern entertainment.

Comic Con Africa 2026 takes place in Johannesburg this September, with Christopher Judge appearing from Friday 25 September to Sunday 27 September.
