Hold onto your kitty ears, Gabby’s going big-screen! This September, Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie brings the fan-favourite DreamWorks series to life in a dazzling new hybrid adventure filled with road trips, glitter, giggles, and grandma-approved heroics. The trailer promises everything young fans love, as well as a larger-than-life twist that’s pure purr-fection. This is a big screen version of the super popular TV series Gabby’s Dollhouse, which first began airing in 2021. So if you or your little girl has ever wished for your dollhouse to come alive with quirky characters and sprinkle-covered cupcakes, Gabby and her gang of fuzzy friends are here to grant your wish

The hybrid live-action and animated film features Laila Lockhart Kraner reprising her beloved role as Gabby, this time embarking on a whimsical road trip with her Grandma Gigi, played by the legendary Gloria Estefan, to the purr-fectly vibrant cityscape of Cat Francisco. But things go sideways when Gabby’s beloved dollhouse is accidentally scooped up by kooky cat collector Vera, played by Kristen Wiig, who’s convinced the dollhouse is real magic.

With her enchanted cat ears in place and Grandma Gigi riding shotgun, Gabby sets off on a wild rescue mission filled with enchanted alleyways, cupcake-fuelled chases, musical surprises, and a few dollhouse-sized life lessons along the way. Familiar fuzzy friends like Pandy Paws, Cakey, and Kitty Fairy join the quest, proving the dollhouse magic isn’t just about toys, it’s about teamwork, family, and never giving up.

Directed by Ryan Crego and co-starring Ego Nwodim, Kyle Mooney, and Melissa Villaseñor, as well as Emmy nominee Thomas Lennon, Jason Mantzoukas, and Fortune Feimster, the film keeps the show’s vibrant mix of live-action, colourful animation, clever one-liners, and catchy tunes. Expect a story that blends the series’ signature charm with a fresh, cinematic sense of wonder. It’s sparkly, silly, and seriously sweet. Tailor-made for fans both young and old alike.

    Geek Verdict:

With heartwarming family dynamics, an empowering lead, and a cast that’s equal parts chaos and cuddles, Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie looks ready to deliver a meowgical adventure. This purr-fect road trip releases in theatres on September 26, and it’s bound to leave fans grinning from whisker to whisker.
