OPPO Brings the Reno15 Series to South Africa With a Focus on Value in the Mid-Tier

OPPO has officially launched the Reno15 Series in South Africa, introducing the Reno15 Pro and Reno15 F to the local market from 7 February 2026. The new devices build on one of OPPO’s most established smartphone ranges locally, with a clear focus on refined design, improved display and camera performance, and a premium mid-tier experience that does not push pricing higher.

At a time when smartphone prices are steadily increasing across the market, OPPO says it has taken a deliberate approach with the Reno15, choosing to prioritise long-term value and consistency for South African consumers.

“South Africa is an important market for OPPO, and the Reno Series has built a loyal following here by delivering the experiences people care about most,” said Jace Chen, CEO of OPPO. “With the Reno15 Series, we are continuing to push design, imaging, and performance forward, while remaining disciplined on pricing in a challenging global environment.”

A Premium Mid-Tier Experience Across the Range

The Reno15 Pro and Reno15 F are designed for everyday use across work and leisure, featuring slim profiles and large AMOLED displays with 120Hz refresh rates for smooth, responsive interaction.

The Reno15 Pro is equipped with a 6.32-inch AMOLED display, offering a high screen-to-body ratio and vivid colour reproduction suited to streaming, gaming, and general use. The Reno15 F features a larger 6.57-inch AMOLED display, delivering the same smooth performance in a bigger format for users who prefer more screen space.

Imaging Remains Central to the Reno Identity

Camera performance continues to play a central role in the Reno series.

The Reno15 Pro introduces OPPO’s most advanced camera system yet within the Reno lineup. It is led by a 200MP main camera, supported by a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical portrait zoom and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. A 50MP ultra-wide front camera supports selfies and group shots, while features such as 4K video recording, Dual-View Video, and Underwater Photography expand creative options.

The Reno15 F offers a versatile camera setup aimed at everyday photography, featuring a 50MP main camera, ultra-wide and macro lenses, and a 50MP ultra-wide front camera.

Across both models, OPPO’s AI-powered imaging tools, including AI Portrait Glow, AI Motion Photo, AI Eraser 2.0, and built-in video editing features, are designed to help users capture and share content more easily.

    Performance, Battery, and Durability

The Reno15 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, with up to 12GB of RAM, expandable to 24GB, and up to 512GB of storage, supported by OPPO’s AI HyperBoost 2.0 technology to maintain performance during sustained use. A 6,200mAh battery paired with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging ensures all-day use with minimal downtime.

The Reno15 F runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 Mobile Platform and features a larger 7,000mAh battery, also supported by 80W SUPERVOOC charging, offering long-lasting power for heavy users.

Both devices feature IP69-rated durability and support underwater photography, reinforcing their suitability for everyday use in a variety of conditions.

Pricing and Availability in South Africa

The OPPO Reno15 Series will be available in South Africa from 7 February through Vodacom, MTN, Telkom, and Cell C, with both models offered on contract and supported by competitive launch promotions.

Launch offers vary by network and include bundled accessories such as smartwatches, earbuds, and tablets. Contract pricing for the Reno15 Pro starts from R899 on selected 36-month plans, while the Reno15 F is available from R589, depending on the network.

With the Reno15 Series, OPPO continues to position itself firmly in the premium mid-tier segment, offering a balance of design, imaging, performance, and pricing aimed at meeting the needs of South African consumers.
